Discovery Kids implements Frog Street Curriculum, a research-based early childhood education program. Lessons aretailored for developmentally appropriate, engaged learning at each stage of growth. Our Draper location serves children ages 18 months to 6 years old, with a emphasis on early preschool and preschool learning.

18 Months - 3 years

Discovery Kids prioritizes helping your toddler thrive in a fun, safe enviornment. The Frog Street curriculum allows for playful discovery and gentle routines to help your toddler feel excited, grounded, and supported in a learning enviornment.

The toddler program supports:

  • Language Learning

  • Emotional Vocabulary and Co-regulation

  • Calming Strategies

  • Sensory Exploration

  • Gentle Daily Routines

Ages 3-4

Discovery Kids prioritizes helping your child thrive in group settings and classroom environments. The Frog Street curriculum for these young learners emphasises how to focus and ask for help, vocabulary development, and feeling confident trying new skills. It also allows kids to adjust to following a consistent daily routine.
 

The preschool program supports:

  • Social-emotional Development

  • Whole group, Small Group, and Center based learning

  • Lessons in Literacy, Math, and Science

  • Vocabulary Expansion

  • Regular Daily Schedule

Ages 4-5

Discovery Kids prioritizes helping your child build readiness for kindergarden so your child can thrive when they start school. The Frog Street curriculum for your child focuses on academic readiness, relationship building, and attention span development.
 

The Pre-K program supports:

  • Daily Core Academic Learning

  • Emotional Regulation Strategies

  • Whole-group and Small-group lessons

  • Vocabulary Expansion

  • A daily classroom style flow

  • Pacing and documentation to support transitioning into school

Ages 5-6

Now that your child is in school, Discovery Kids prioritizes supporting them in their classroom learning with:

 

  • Pick-up & Drop-off from school (10 Draper & Sandy schools)

  • Before & After school care

  • Homework Assistance

  • Tutoring – individual & small group

Preschool Concerts!

At each location, our Preschool students participate in two performances each year:

 

A Summer Concert and A Christmas Concert

 

These performances give your child an opportunity to showcase the songs, music, and movement they have been learning in class.
